Solution to problems

The ABC policy has been successfully implemented at the Porvoo factory already for 20 years. Logisticar is used in fact-based business decisions and the optimization of the total operation.

Results

Using a sharp and customer-oriented product policy, the number of stocked items was halved and delivery reliability was increased from below 80% to 99%. By maintaining the policy, the delivery reliability has been kept at 99%, which in turn has reflected back as extremely high customer satisfaction.

Customer introduction

The Finnish ABB’s Wiring Accessories unit in Porvoo develops, manufactures and markets wiring accessories for home and business construction as well as Jussi and IMPRESSIVO® wiring accessories. The product range also includes intelligent building automation solutions that increase energy efficiency, such as the ABB-free@home home control system, KNX building automation and the Welcome door phone system.

The unit is in charge of the Nordic market and continuously develops the product range together with customers. The unit is known for its excellent customer service, high-quality products and the best delivery reliability in the business.
