Nomination information bulletin: Leanware Oy’s group grew with a seasoned expert in the field

Mira Sohlman has joined Leanware Oy as their Business Director. Sohlman joined us in this position from Solteq Oyj, where she held several managerial positions, concentrating especially on ERP systems of companies in the commerce sector.

Leanware is Finland’s leading system provider of in-house logistics. Sohlman is responsible for data and information systems of Leanware’s commerce and logistics customers. She also belongs to the company’s management team.

“Leanware’s data and information system solutions improve our customers’ operations and processes. Our team consists of a pack of hard-core professionals, and with them I can build growth for our services while ensuring the profitability of our business. We are developing LeanwareWMS, or Warehouse Management System, to meet increasingly demanding customer needs,” Sohlman tells.

Sohlman previously had a long career at Solteq Oyj, where she, for 20 years, worked mainly with data and information systems in the commerce sector. She also served on Solteq’s Management Team and was responsible for the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business.

“Digitalization and tightening customer requirements mean that companies need to get more accurate information about what is happening in warehouses and supply chains. ERP offers companies transparency into different activities in practice on a day-to-day and hourly levels. Today, however, consumers are demanding real-time transparency and faster service from companies, and all this with higher quality. These are the demands we can meet with Leanware’s solutions,” Sohlman says.

“Compared to traditional ERP systems, our solutions take you to minute-level and second-level transparency, so the difference for increased efficiency and cost savings is significant. Today’s large data and information systems, such as ERP systems, are expanding and moving further and further away from agile, best-fit solutions. And this means that companies seeking competitiveness need solutions that can be integrated into existing systems, and which also improve their operations and quality. And that is exactly what we offer at Leanware,” Sohlman elaborates.

Sohlman started her work at Leanware in good spirits.

“I am full-heartedly excited about Leanware’s enormous potential. One of Leanware’s aces up the sleeve are their own products, such as LeanwareWMS, which is being developed in Tampere, Finland. Your own in-house products are not the self-evident way to go in today’s IT world, as much of the system suppliers’ solution offering comes from other parts of the world. My task is to build Leanware into an even tougher player among data and information system providers,” Sohlman promises.
In her leisure time, Sohlman enjoys jogging, swimming, painting and drawing, among other things. In addition, she enjoys time at the family’s summer cabin with her husband and children.

“I have three children under the age of 12, so there is plenty of action back at home,” Sohlman says laughing.
