YES-EU Oy, a supplier of electric buses and charging solutions, introduced the LeanwareSCM software in early 2024 with the aim of improving process management and developing purchasing operations. According to them, the commissioning project went ‘surprisingly painless’, and particularly the project management and documentation of Elisa IndustrIQFinland received praise.
YES-EU’s growth speed is high and they have nearly 2,000 titles. The starting point was the challenging monitoring of balances and non-functioning alarm limits, which made the development and measurement of operations difficult.
More than 80% of the company’s titles come from China and with dysfunctional alarm limits and balances, this too often caused situations that the lack of a particular title would be noticed too late. The goal with the introduction of the new software was to minimize the use of expensive air freight and improve availability and security of supply by developing purchasing operations.
Through Elisa IndustrIQ Finland’s website, YES-EU familiarised itself with the modern LeanwareSCM software for purchasing and sourcing in the autumn of 2023, after which collaborative discussions began. Within less than six months of the start of the discussions, the company already had the software in use, as its versatile features and utility convinced the people working in the purchasing of spare parts.
The objectives of the cooperation between YES-EU and Elisa IndustriIQ Finland were defined as four points:
Based on the objectives, the key indicators were availability, delivery reliability, customer satisfaction and inventory value.
Based on collaborative discussions and situation analysis, the solution proposal was LeanwareSCM ready-made software, which is a modern system of purchasing and supply chain enhancement delivered as a service. The software can be used to measure defined key indicators and achieve common goals, says Tomi-Pekka Juha, a project manager from Elisa IndustrIQ Finland.
LeanwareSCM’s usability and reliability were in line with YES-EU’s expectations, and the software succeeds in delivering exactly what has been promised. According to YES-EU, Elisa IndustrIQ Finland’s experts’ process and product expertise was at a strong level, which ensured a successful outcome.
Customer’s point of view
In the LeanwareSCM commissioning survey, YES-EU warehouse manager Eelis Kettinen and spare parts salesperson Joni Pollari gave an NPS value of 9/10, stating that the software is useful and versatile.
The whole process surprised us with its painlessness, as, for example, our expectations regarding schedule and budget were met. Technical matters were handled by Elisa IndustrIQ Finland and all we had to do was comment. The documentation had been taken care of and we as a customer were always informed at what stage of the project we are going. The software met our expectations excellently, and there has not yet been a need to return to the user manuals due to the ease of use of the software, says Kettinen and Pollari.
